When you come into New Mexico, many of the main cities are in the center of the state. If you are coming in from Arizona, or from Texas, you are going to go laterally on the 40. You will first want to stop in Albuquerque which is a very popular destination, not far from Santa Fe. From there, you can head down to Las Cruces and also El Paso, all of which have many things that you can do when you stay. Here are a couple of activities that you can do in this state.

Things To Do In Santa Fe

A couple of the things that you can do when you get to Santa Fe is go to the Museum of International Folk Art. From there you can travel to Canyon Road, a place that is considered a historic walking area, and then head over to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. There are a couple of other places that you can visit including shops like the Liquid Light Glass shop and also go to the Palace of the Governors. Once you are done, head down to Albuquerque to have fun if you get to stay there in that city.

What Can You Do In Albuquerque?

There is a science center that you can visit if you are traveling with kids. If you don’t mind heights, and you want to climb to the top of the very tall mountain, you should try the Sandia Peak Tramway. If you happen to show up at the right time, you might get to participate in watching the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. If you are the type of person that likes biology, can go to the Albuquerque Biological Park. Finally, you can finish everything by going to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.

You could also find other things to do in El Paso if you wanted to area it is right on the border of Mexico. There are activities that you could also do in Las Cruces, but your stay in Albuquerque and Santa Fe will likely be enough. You will have enough to do there for several weeks, but most people only stay for a few days.
